We want to be head turners of our college each single day, but playing "dress up" daily turns out to be too tasking for most. Is it really worth following all the fashion trends your academic life revolves around classes, assignments, canteen and roaming in the campus?
Your style is a reflection of your personality. Fashion is a method of self-expression.The crisp, monotonous, school uniforms gave a sure-shot easy way out of looking smart and presentable. Come college life and suddenly, youngsters have the back-breaking responsibility of updating their closet with the latest trends.

Smart casuals are the way to go. Chinos for men, solid block colours, conventional silhouettes and minimal accessories. Playing with prints and flashy components in your look are not advisable.

"Whenever I go to participate in debating competitions, I make sure I wear the dominating black. I keep my ensemble loud because I want my opponents to be intimidated before they even hear me express my views," said Pratiksha Sharma from Army Institute of Law.
Guest lectures and industry visits
It is always advisable to keep dresses in your closet that you can alter by adding or subtracting accessories. Keeping it formal and smart is the key. Investing in block coloured dresses is a must as you can couple them with scarves, jackets, boots and what not! Guest faculties open up the Pandora's Box as far as making contacts is considered and if you have been treating these lectures as just another day at college, you need to pull up your socks.

When it comes to dance parties, you need to raise your style quotient and take casual college wear to whole new level. Looking good, it is an automatic conversation starter. Campus parties provide a platform for the convergence of students from interact and are perfect opportunities to ruffle through your wardrobe and pick out some head turning ensembles.
